UPDATING A DM400c

During my download, the following appeared on my postage machine screen: File 8 of 8, 9%, Estimated Time 0:00.  It has been stuck on my screen for almost 2 hours.  The instructions warn users not to unplug anything or the machine will be damaged. What do I do next?

Re: UPDATING A DM400c

Thank you for your message.  It is indeed true that we advise to not power down the machine during the rates download.  However, if the machine get's stuck for a long period of time, and is totally unresponsive, then there is no other choice, and the machine will need to be powered down.  Think of this like a frozen computer.  Sometimes, the only solution is a reboot.

Once rebooted, you will want to check to see if your machine has the new rates.  If it does not, try to again download the new rates.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Re: UPDATING A DM400c

My K7M0 machine froze during updates, also.  When it didn't unfreeze for a long time, I unplugged to reboot.  But after briefly displaying "Initializing," the machine freezes and the screen says:  "K7M0 Ver 8.3.03 (c) 2005 Pitney Bowes."  It won't leave that screen.  The software on the computer doesn't recognize the meter as being on.  Is there anyway to unfreeze this?  Thanks.
