barcpa,
Thank you for your message, and sorry to hear about the hassle you have gone through with this so far.
I would like to let you know that we cannot accept credit card payments for Purchase Power, because Purchase Power is also a line of credit. A credit card cannot be paid using another credit card. However, you can pay Purchase Power online using a bank account, such as checking or savings. If you would like to do this, you would log in at www.pb.com, click on View and Pay Bills, click on Payment Accounts and add the checking or savings account.
Hopefully this will be helpful for you.
Thank you,
Jeremy

You can also set up schedule payments to your Reserve Account by either clicking on Total Postage Management link then go to the Postage Acccount tab. Or you can do it through the postage by phone site by clicking on the scheduled pay link.

Jeremy, you need to amend your comment here. I registered with website specifically because it said I could not pay with a credit card, I could only pay online, So after going through the bother of registering, I went to the location where it said "add postage online," and I got this response: You cannot add postage to this meter online." So I can't add it via a credit card (or debit card, apparently) and I can't do it online even with a checking account. I was prepared to pay online, and then add the postage via modem, but for some reason Piteny Bowes hasn't figured out how to do that. So I have to do it the old-fashioned way, which seems pretty outdated for a company that should be at the cutting edge of technology. Frankly, I am annoyed that the website doesn't at least contain a clarification that online payments are available only for SOME postage meters.

Jeremy,
Please revise your posting that implies postage cannot be paid for using a credit card just because a credit card cannot be used in conjunction with Purchase Power.
I have been paying for postage with a credit card. However, my card recently expired.
I need to meter some envelopes to go out Saturday. I spent more than an hour Friday night searching both sites (pb.com and postagebyphone), and could not locate a way to update my expired credit card. I finally located a way to add a credit card to pb.com, but it says it is only for paying bills on that site, not paying for postage.
I am unable to locate a place on the postage-by-phone site to make any form of immediate payment (credit card, ACH debit) that will allow me to refill our meter now.
Since it is now Saturday, I am out of luck for calling before the mailing cutoff time today.
As of right now, all credit cards do expire. There needs to be an easy way to update this information in a prominent location on the web site.
The help topic (Document ID: FA678) for expired cards needs to match the site. There are links in help topics and in the site that either don't work when clicked, or don't exist at all.
Thanks,
Jeff

I see I need to offer a more clear and detailed explanation of how to use our website for setting up payments.
At www.postagebyphone, on the left side of the web page are 4 links under Postage Payment Programs.

Purchase Power: apply for a Purchase Power line of credit / apply to increase your credit limit
Reserve Account: add funds to your Reserve Account (RA)
Permit Postage Service: aka Easy Permit Postage
US Postal Service: Prepayment by Check, Bank to Bank Wiring, ACH Debit, ACH Credit
Also at www.postagebyphone, under "Your Postage by Phone Account" is a link Scheduled Pay.

Scheduled Pay is where you can set up a schedule for funds to be added to your reserve account from your bank.
At the View and Pay Bills (My Bills) area of the website you can pay your bills. As a tip, you cannot use a credit card to pay Purchase Power bills. You will need to use a bank account (checking/savings) to pay Purchase Power.
Thank you,
Jeremy

I find the PB Website really bad and not user friendly at all. I am trying to edit CC info for the postage refill and its impossible to find the place to do this. Frustrating that a simple app for any site cannot be in this site.

As of the writing of this message (February 2012), the only postage meter which can use www.pb.com for the purpose of adding postage to the meter is the model B700. All of the other postage meters have other methods to add postage, such as making a connection over a phone line, network cable or using a computer program such as PC Meter Connect.
When adding postage to the postage meter, your default funds source would be used. This default funds source will most likely either be a credit card, Pitney Bowes Reserve Account, or Pitney Bowes Purchase Power. Setting up or making changes to this default funds source can be done with our Postage by Phone support at 800-243-7800.
Thank you,
Jeremy
